Lisa's is the best country food in town with a family sit down environment. The front of the house Staff are very pleasant to be around.
The best place to go to breakfast in Jefferson City. Food is always fresh and good. Staff is friendly and attentive every time we have went.
The food is good, the service is okay, ambiance is casual, however there are flies, and it needs a thorough cleaning. Almost no healthy options; most things are battered and fried. I noticed the servers have a negative vibe/attitude. Not sure if this is due to poor management, being overworked, or what, but they really are not friendly. I've been there about 5 times over the last two months with a different server each time, and the feeling is the same. My wife will not go back because of this.
Miss the Broasted chicken!! But can always be assured a good meal, from good people! Love the feel of a home cooked meal!
We tried Lisa's for lunch and left full. Our server, Sonya, was fantastic and the food was delicious. My husband had the Chef Salad. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with green beans and added an extra side of fried green tomatoes. We shared a lemon cream cake. Their coffee mug says they've been there since 2005. We arrived about 1:30 and the business was steady the entire time we were there. Would recommend and would definitely eat there again.
Whenever we're in East Tennessee we make sure we stop at Lisa's Excellent food, exceptional service and all at a more than affordable price.
We were looking for country cooking so Lisa's sounded like it would definitely fit the bill. The parking lot was full on this Friday afternoon at lunchtime. We were greeted fairly quickly and seated at a table. Right away we felt welcomed. Looking around at the country decor was fun and took us down memory lane, as some things reminded us of our younger days while visiting our grandparents. We ordered the 2 piece pork chops dinner, grilled. It came with 2 sides and a choice of bread. We chose the country corn, green beans and added another side of turnips. Our bread choice was cornbread. We both ordered unsweetened tea and it was brewed and great. The food came out in a decent amount of time and we dug in before I took a pic (but I did get one fairly quickly). The grilled pork chops were seasoned just right and very juicy and tender. The corn was nothing to write home about but still good. The green beans and turnips were delicious. The corn bread was just ok and a little dry but I dipped it in the turnip juice and it made it better. We enjoyed our lunch and our server, Sonya, was excellent.
